Scuffing to surface (most on center to top right, which is noticeable from certain angles and light. There is a slight indent about 1/2 inch in length & 3/16" wide, in the wood on top left side. On the inside, It almost seems as if the humidor was not used. I can't be certain so I am selling it as if it was used. I did not use it.
If anyone can give me information about this item, I would appreciate it. I like knowing stuff and furnishing accurate information to the best of my ability. Unfortunately I was not able to find much on the internet. A little strange.
Not certain but I believe it holds about 80 cigars.
I am usually pretty knowledgeable about the items I sell, but not in this case. I took the wood type from someone else's posting since the photos seemed to indicate it was the same as the one I am selling.
There is scuffing and swirl lines on the box. In particular on the top. I tried taking a photo that shows it clearly but without making it seem hideous. There is also a slight indent on the top left corner (which I or someone else may have done recently). It is not a scratch but a very slight indent.
I think that the lock is not working. There is a key. So as far as I know the lock is not functional.
It seems like the original owner did not use it or did not use it much. There are no tale-tale signs of use. I did not use it at all.
As a humidor it is still in excellent condition, if you can overcome the scuff marks, and I must say, the box is still beautiful. I would not hesitate to buy such an item.
It says Zino which is I believe, a Davidoff (Switzerland) company.
This is what I found on the internet from the year 1993 and Cigar Aficionado and the description seems to be this humidor I posted. The only unknown is they describe the "solid wood hinge" which may not be the hinge on my item. The dimensions are to a T. I can't guarantee it of course, so anyone purchasing is doing so "as is". Sorry I can't be more definitive.
