Iam the second owner, first owner bought it in 1984 and used it at most a few months a year when they visited vacation home in Florida , around 1994 it was replaced with a surround system and parked in the closet until recently when I acquired it, I've played it to test for a week with mostly turntable setting and sounds great, can't find my FM antenna but pulled in stations with static you can see the FM and AM meters and LEDs move and light up , so with a proper FM antenna it should be great..AM stations come in strong.

Condition : Cosmetics are really nice ! Has a small blemish on volume controller knob, but otherwise hard to imagine the aluminum details being much nicer ! The Walnut case is lovely, no chips or scratches have to look hard to find any issue with walnut.
Regarding sound functions it has some normal scratchy sound on the balance controller, which sometimes clears, so should only need cleaning of the balance pot and some black tape on the cord power plug covering a nick in insulation?
Those are the things that stand out to me otherwise powerful clean sound and all lights seem to work..I've owned a few vintage stereo receivers from this era and the tuning knob on this Yamaha is very firm and precise when adjusting not like others which will move easily or even overshoot a station..not a defect but a feature of this unit.
