Fox Farm Bushdoctor Sledge Hammer 16 oz flush formula soil/hydro OMRI
Bush Doctor® SledgeHammer® encourages water movement through soil and soilless media. High fertilizer use can compromise plant growth over time due to concentrated mineral salt deposits.
SledgeHammer® is a unique rinse formula designed to remove fertilizer buildup which may relieve nutrient lockout. Derived from saponins, extracted from the Yucca schidigera plant. SledgeHammer® is designed for organic gardening and can be used for both hydroponic and soil applications.
How To Use:
In-Ground Gardens and Container Plantings:
- Mix 2 teaspoons (10 mL) per gallon (4 L) of fresh water.
- Drench soil or preferred medium thoroughly.
- Apply every 3-4 weeks until harvest.
Hydroponic Recirculating Systems:
- Mix 2 drops per gallon (4 L) of fresh reservoir water.
- Combine with fertilizers during weekly feeding schedules.
- Kick it through your system once with every reservoir change.
Flush:
- Mix 1/2 tsp (2.5 mL) per gallon (4 L) of fresh reservoir water.
- Perform a complete system flush every two weeks.
- Cycle system for one hour and change reservoir water.
Encourages proliferation of both primary and secondary roots for stronger, more extensive root systems
Enhanced root efficiency helps plants absorb more moisture and nutrition
Loaded with bacteria and mycorrhizal fungi (e.g., Glomus, Bacillus, Trichoderma), it establishes a healthy rhizosphere
Contains essential nutrients (N–P–K = 0.8–0.1–0.03) plus sulfur, manganese, zinc, and more for optimal plant growth
Suitable for in‑ground gardens, pots, and hydroponic systems
Ideal for:
-
New seedlings, transplants, and cuttings needing vigorous root growth
-
Potted and hydroponic systems that benefit from microbial support
-
Any gardener aiming for healthier, more resilient plants through improved root function
How To Use:

MYKOS is a fast-growing, beneficial fungus that increases nutrient and water uptake by forming a symbiotic relationship with the roots of a plant. MYKOS is needed to break down, cycle, and retain nutrients as well as provide a front line of defense against environmental stresses, pathogens, and diseases. MYKOS will continue to grow with your plants becoming an extension of the roots and administering better efficiency and sustainability. With a larger and healthier root system, plants are given the opportunity to increase crop yields and secondary metabolites.
MYKOS works fast and creates strong roots in 95% of common plants. MYKOS is a single species of Endo-mycorrhizal fungi, Rhizophagus intraradices, eliminating any type of root competition. Why only Endo-mycorrhizae?
Ecto-mycorrhizae has no beneficial effect on vegetables, fruits, flowers, and herbs.
MYKOS helps new plantings reduce transplant shock by stimulating new root growth. MYKOS forms hyphae that increase the root mass resulting in more absorption of nutrients and moisture. The fungal network can transport nutrients over large distances and deliver them directly into the root cell. Plants supply MYKOS with energy in the form of carbohydrates that are produced during photosynthesis. Individual plants can become connected with other plants through this mycorrhizal network, sharing nutrients, sugars, and water as well as attracting more soil microbes.
MYKOS protects your plants against drought & heat stress. As well as keeping harmful pathogens from making root contact. MYKOS can also improve the soil structure both in clay soil and sandy soil. MYKOS also helps break down organic compounds and convert them into plant available plant food.
MYKOS Application:
Add 2 Teaspoons to the hole, directly around the plant roots. Mykos must come in contact with the roots. Set plant and backfill. Remember to water.
