Dual gain staging drives your amp harder
Do you have a boost pedal that leaves you wanting more? Once you turn on the Bass RC Booster V2, you'll have a hard time turning it off. This stompbox has two stacking gain stages that you can use. When you turn the pedal on, you'll be given the first gain stage and notice a nice bump in your signal strength. If that's not enough, engage the Gain 1+2 switch on the left side to add the second stage. You'll smash the front end of your amp with 20dB of clean boost that brings out the natural punch and harmonics of your bass.
Use an 18-volt power supply to add expansive headroom
The Bass RC Booster V2 designers at Xotic made this pedal compatible with 18-volt power supplies. Why? When you plug an 18-volt power supply into your Xotic Bass RC Booster, you'll dramatically increase its headroom. At Sweetwater, we get a lot of questions about how increased headroom benefits your pedal's tone. With amps, headroom refers to the amount of power you can use before it starts to distort. For pedals, increased headroom allows you to have a higher output volume before the pedal begins to clip. When using your pedal with an 18-volt power adapter, you'll appreciate the enhanced note definition and open, uncompressed tone. If you have an extra 18-volt power supply lying around, you'll want to try it with the Bass RC Booster V2.
