Estate sale find, vintage WWII RAF Consolidated PBY Flying Boat Photo Royal Air Force 1st Test Flight, circa 1940s.

The Royal Air Force (RAF) began operating the Consolidated PBY Catalina flying boat in early 1941. 

Specifically, the first RAF Catalinas entered service in the spring of 1941, just in time to play a role in the hunt for the German battleship Bismarck. 

The RAF received about 700 of these aircraft, with many later diverted to other Commonwealth air forces like the RAAF and RNZAF. 

The item measures approximately 2.75" X 4.5", approximate shipping weight 2 ounces.
