Douglas A-26 Invader Exhaust Collector
One aircraft exhaust collector segment for the Douglas A-26 "Invader" bomber. If I recall correctly this P/N is 11-260-1 and typically stamped ASSY SOLAR I can't see any specific markings on this one.
Came to us in a rather large inventory acquired recently of take-off Invader parts.
Good used condition. Perfect welds. No heavy rust. No flaking. No thin hot spot areas. No cracks or damage visible. We'd just taken a hose to it to knock off the dirt and evict a few cranky spiders hiding inside. It came directly from an aerial applicator's spares pile here in AZ. There's still a clamp assembly on one end. Note the piece of plastic inside one of the "fingers" - this had been capped at one time.
This one's a little ugly from outdoor storage but 15 minutes in the bead blast cabinet will pretty it up and it's ready for inspection and duty slapped back on your Dash -79.
