Mounted on both the 34 and 42 Lafette Tripod, the MGZ 34 optical sight was allowed the shooter to have their head lower and thus less exposed when aiming through the sight. This was eventually replaced by thelater (and more common) MGZ 40 Aiming Scope.
Made of aluminum and steel by Voigtlander, this aiming scope was manufactured between 1934 and 1942. Though it has some marks, scratches, and wear, it still retains 90% of its original Dunkelgrau camouflage paint, with NO major damage! Some slight surface corrosion on the metal parts from storage, but that could be cleaned up quite easily. The manufacture information is stamped into the side, indicating:

The optics are a bit hazy, with minor spots throughout, but it should be easy to clean up. All adjustments are FULLY functional. Collimator functions as it should. Eye cup is also original, but it has hardened over time. Both spirit levels also retain all the original fluid. The number, "9515" is also hand-painted on the side. I have shown its location in the last images. A VERY NICE scope, it would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
