TORQUEMASTER CONVERSION KITS
INCLUDES WINDING BARS FOR SPRINGS
These kits provide all of the hardware, and the springs to convert a garage door that is equipped with the inferior Wayne Dalton Torquemaster spring system to a standard torsion spring system, for standard residential applications.
Just choose your model and size and correct parts will be supplied to you. Doors 14ft in length or more will receive 2 springs. Watch out for listings that do not ask you if the door has windows or not, because that does factor into the correct spring selection.
You will need to source a proper torsion tube locally, as those cannot be shipped.
Standard torsion tubes have a 1" OD and have thick walls that are torsion rated.
(DO NOT USE ELECTRICALCONDUIT PIPE) .
Standard torsion tubes have a .060 to .090 wall thickness, and measure 9-12 inches longer than the width of the door. This extra width is needed to support the cable drums and hardware.
Please educate yourself on the process of installing these parts and torsion springs before attempting to install. Installation instructions will be included.

WARNING: Torsion springs, extension springs, and related door hardware can cause serious injury or death if not handled and installed properly. Professional installation is recommended.
Do NOT attempt to install springs or hardware yourself unless you have the proper tools, reasonable mechanical aptitude and experience, and upper arm strength. Read and understand all instructions before you begin work.
Extension and torsion springs, along with attached hardware, are under extreme tension at all times. All tension must be released from springs before any work is performed.
