The batteries hold charge (3 batteries included, 1 is a spare), and 2 chargers.
It has the calibration adapter, which it requires calibration if it is run completely down. Calibration took about 2 minutes.
I updated the firmware on the display unit as well as the smart remote end. Both are now updated to the latest firmware that was offered.
I included a thumb drive that has the firmware update utility on it as well as Ideal's "LT Record Manager 1200 program" which uses your laptop or desktop (Windows PC) to pull the saved tests off the tester so you can print them out or e-mail them to your customer. The program is a little old, but worked fine on my Windows 11 PC running it in Compatibility Mode (which Windows does automatically).
I used this tester to test Cat6 cables. It'll test Cat6 or Cat5, and comes with the add-on tools to test fiber. I did not test any fiber runs with it, nor did I even look into how that would work. I bought the tester for a very specific purpose and it did that well. Our Fluke tester was malfunctioning and I needed a tester ASAP to wrap up a job. This tester did that well and my customer was happy.
