All pieces marked Royal Doulton Bone China England
H6845 is hand painted on the backs of the pieces and so I believe this is a manufacturing ID date of 1945
This is a very RARE pattern and set, it was made circa 1945-1961. Difficult to find the cream soup bowls, and rarely available. Almost unheard of in a large set like this
Features swirled ridges/ribs going around their inner and outer surface. They have gold border trim.
The pattern is gorgeous- rosebuds are in 2 row design- top rim rosebuds are larger than the rosebuds in the level below.
Flower design has gorgeous deep pink shaded rosebuds, singles and some doubles, with green leaves.
Background color is sparkling white with a very high gloss finish.
Handled Soup Bowl is 2 1/8"tall and 4 5/8"across opening, it is 6 3/8"wide with handles. Base is 1 7/8" circumference.
Underplate saucer has an indent for the bowl and is 6.25" Across
Bowl fits nicely into the center of the saucer and this set could also be used as lovely dessert bowls with underplates.
Excellent condition, pristine- no flaws to any of the pieces, beautiful! No nicks chips cracks fading crazing scratches. No wear to gold trim. The entire set is flawless.
This is a magnificent set. Would look beautiful on display or in use.
