VTG Emdee by Schell Medical Bag Leather Traveling Doctor's Bag with vintage syringes. There are no noted tears to the leather but surface scratches consistent with age and normal use and a dent as pictured.
The vintage Emdee by Schell medical bag is an early to mid 1900s traveling doctor's bag made of leather. It was manufactured by Schell and designed for medical professionals to carry their supplies while making house calls or traveling. This sturdy and stylish carrying case would have been essential for doctors during that time period, allowing them to transport necessary medical equipment and supplies with ease and sophistication.
This particular bag was used by a country physician in South Louisiana during a time when a town doctor could treat illnesses, deliver babies and set broken limbs.
The bag is very sturdy with perfectly functional hinges that open and close smoothly. The lock/latch (NO KEY) works smoothly and latches securely. Both handles are in very good condition and still very securely attached to the bag. Bag measures approximately 16 3/4 inches wide, 8 inches deep and 11 1/2 inches high. There are three vintage glass Multi-fit syringes included. The glass plungers on all syringes glide smoothly.
