Edward Gorey Mystery! Series poster art has been recreated on this mug.  The scene is the "Three Investigators" complete with the printed Edward Gorey signature.  The same graphic was subsequently used on the poster for the PBS Mystery! Television Show aired in 1981.

The design is made to fit one-half of the mug and is repeated on the front & back so that the entire mug is covered.  We see the three investigators walking along a wall with flashlights focused on the ground.  The stereotypical "dead body" appears to be stashed on top of the wall, out of sight, and the investigators are following a lady pushing a veiled figure in a wheel chair.  A gentleman, holding a cup & saucer in hand is standing in a doorway between the investigators and the lady.  Is he our villain?  Or is it the lady?  And who is the mysterious, veiled figure in the wheelchair?  Victim or perpetrator?  You'll have to watch the series to find out!

The price is for one mug.  There are two (2) mugs available.

I purchased these at an estate sale and both mugs are in very good condition.  There is no crazing, no cracks, no chips, no flea bites and the insides are VERY clean.  There is some minor wear on the black handles.  The graphic is sharp & clear with no missing or worn areas.  There is minimal wear on the bottom and the original UPC sticker is still affixed to the bottoms of both mugs leading me to believe they have been lightly used.  Please refer to the pictures for the best description of their condition.

Dimensions:
Height - 3.75 inches
Diameter - 3.5 inches
Width of Handle - 1.5 inches
Capacity - 8 fluid ounces
Weight (each) - 11.5 ounces

These are fun mugs!  The design is very 1980's retro and the colors are good.  They come from a smoke-free environment.  Thank you for looking!
