This is a nice Solid Official BSA Boy Scout Hatchet head, Genuine Plumb(USA), mounted on a solid Globemaster Italy No. 1304-14 Hatchet Handle. No Wiggle or Wobble of the handle. Both the Hatchet Axe head and the handle show use-age marks. The Hatchet head was originally painted black and there is a tiny bit of paint remaining on it. Dated to the 1950-55 BSA era. Otherwise it is a little rusty but should clean up and refurbish really well. hatchet would benefit from a good sharpening/honing. It is marked Genuine Plumb on one side and has the BSA Fleur de leis on the back side.
Approx. 13” OAL. 3.5” head. Weight - approx. 1 lb. 9 oz.
Nice little hand axe/hatchet would work well for Hiking/Camping/Survivalist.
