Offered for sale is a wonderful Lucien LeLong powder and rouge compact that is not easy to find. Lucien LeLong was a French Designer who also had a line of perfumes. His make up line was created in the 30's and 40's. This compact is from the 40's era. All of his compacts featured great design and were beautifully made. They were only in production for a short time, so there are not a tremendous number of compacts available. The outside of this compact is Rose Gold, Gold & Platinum.
The inside has both a powder well and a rouge well.
There is a full and unused rouge cake with puff. The powder compact was never filled and there is no puff. The mirror is clear with no cracks. The compact was never used but it appears to have either been carried or moved from storage to storage. There are slight dings on the back of the compact, which is commiserate with its age,and in no way detracts from the beauty of the item!There are also couple of tiny marks on the mirror. Other than those small imperfections, the compact is in great condition, especially for its age. This would be a great addition to anyone's powder compact collection
