Vintage YVES SAINT LAURENT Jeweled Heart Compact Powder Box Ruby Red Crystal

A great gift for Valentine’s Day and other occasions, vintage YSL Yves Saint Laurent jeweled gold-tone heart compact powder box with an inset ruby red crystal. Small but substantial (measuring about 2.75" W x 2.5" H x 1" D closed, and weighing 5 ounces,) the gold-tone metal compact is heart -shaped with an eye-catching ruby red (with a touch of magenta) faceted crystal in the center. When opened, the compact has a circular mirror on the top and powder on the bottom. A heart-shaped, chamois powder puff covers the powder at the bottom of the compact. Made in France. The label on the bottom of the compact reads, "Poudré Ecrin - Jewel Powder, Net Wt.0.28 oz.- 8 g. Dist. New York NY 10019 U.S.A. Yves Saint Laurent Parfums Corp. Paris New York Made in France 011/3." The compact is in very good-to excellent pre-loved, vintage condition. Shows minimal use--some scuffing and patina, especially on compact bottom, powder may have been used, puff has some lipstick spots--see photos. All told, a beautiful and useful keepsake.
