THIS IS A VINTAGE UNIVOX COILY U 1825 MODEL MIJ. BEST GUESS IS LATE 60'S TO 71.
The Univox Coily, one of this Japanese manufacturer's many models invoking other popular designs of the 60's and 70's, is one of those ubiquitous "pawn shop" guitars found at every Mom and Pop shop across the country, with one big difference to this one: this one is in green finish. Very good playing condition but its not a museum piece, its a player. Aside from the blemishes and the binding has aged and pealed off in few spots not really visable when facing a crowd., fret wear is minimal.
From approximately 1969/1972, this fully hollow, all original Bigsby-style trem w/ aftermarket whammy bar. All original electronics and original Hofner staple pickups. Original tuners and bridge. Replacement nut professionally installed. This beauty has made it 52 or so years to our store and still ready to rip. With a gorgeous green ply body, featuring an incredible green flamed maple top with a 9 piece neck with a rosewood fingerboard, this guitar is an incredibly playable piece of history that is a great addition to any collection.
