selling the Vintage SUSAN BATES Rotating Crochet Hook Advertising Store Display.
this came out of an old variety store that we bought out about 25 years ago. it was sitting for a few decades. we sold all the hooks in the early 2000s and i kept this around for my mother who really never got to use it prior to passing. hence the sale.
it is made of hard plastic in a carousel type of display. it spins as it should. it is in really good condition for its age as shown with just some minor handling wear and light scratches expected from use in the store. it has a small piece of tape of something on a portion of the label that we didn't try to remove. it was covered in dust from years of sitting. we wiped it down but inside the bottom of the pockets are still a little dirty. measures about 23" high on the stand, 10 1/4" without the stand, and 9" in diameter.
these come up occasionally for sale but what separate this unit is that it has the cast iron base from the store which is as rare as hens' teeth. it will free stand or there are holes to mount it to a counter.
this would be a great addition to a high-end crochet collection.
