This radio was sold under a number of brand names with the FR-601 model number including Honey Tone, Windsor, Pacific, Summit, and Roberts. These are usually marked as being made in Japan. This is the first version of this radio that I have found with a Hong Kong label. It looks as if the earphone jack was removed in the production of this version although no change was made to the plastic case. The earliest newspaper ad I could find for this radio dates to 1962, likely for the Japanese-made version.
