Tone Specific is well known for making pickups for certain genre's. This set nails the tone of the 1957 Strat. They have that classic 57 Strat tone with a the tight bottom end and stinging high end associated with vintage correct Alnico 5 magnets and heavy formvar magnet wire. The 57's are thought of as the "holy-grail" by many players & is responsible for Buddy Guy's early tone.
Our hopes are that this set will go to a real musician or aspiring player as opposed to a profiteer looking to flip these over on Reverb. This is a pre-release sale to raise awareness. When these are offered on our in the future site they'll sell for $1000 (same as Virgil Arlo Black Labels).
