Vintage Round Outdoor The Original Jumbo Dial by The Ohio Thermometer Co.

Up for bid and for your consideration is a vintage round outdoor, The Original Jumbo Dial by the Ohio Thermometer Co. This is a really nice thermometer!

This outdoor thermometer would be an excellent addition to your or vintage thermometer collection! 

The details:

This nice thermometer is about 12 inches in diameter and about, 1-3/4 inches thick from the center bracket to the height of the curved plastic cover.

The white dial has black numbers and wording for Fahrenheit and a black circle having white numbers and wording for Celsius. The temperature readings start at -60F and goes to 130F. 

The red pointer appears to be made of painted metal.

The back of the thermometer is painted metal with a raised metal bracket piece that has a hole for hanging at the top and two brackets at the bottom. There is a square housing for the thermometer mechanism in the center. 

There is a bit of surface rust on the brackets and the housing but does not affect the appearance or accuracy of the piece. 

There are 2 small screws at the bottom if the aluminum rim which appear to hold the whole thing together.

The thermometer does work and seems to be pretty accurate for a thermometer of this type and age.

While this is definitely a vintage thermometer it is really in nice condition. The dial is still bright and easy to read! The convex plastic has no chips or cracks but does have scuffs and scrapes most noteably on either side of "Fahrenheit" and "Celsius" near the bottom of the thermometer.

It appears to be in 100% original condition!
