Gorgeous restored WADE & BUTCHER straight razor. Razor has been cleaned, polished, honed and waxed and is shave ready. Blade is nice with some spotting/pitting primarily near tip on both sides of blade. see pics for more details. Light to moderate hone wear. I used one piece of tape on spine when honing.
Blade width at widest point measures at just under 7/8ths.
Razor length is 6 3/8th inches.
Grind is approximately a 1/2 hollow.
Front of shank is stamped MANUFACTURED BY - WADE & BUTCHER - SHEFFIELD. Back side is blank.
Scales are brand new custom made in bookmatched BOCOTE wood. Wedge is white pearl KIRINITE.
Washers reproduction nickel silver rosettes with brass pins. Scales were made by myself. Finished with severlal coats of teal oil, then buffed with carnuba wax. They look even better in person. Pins are tight and blade closes fine.
Blade is shave ready. Top shelf shaver. Finished on a vintage Thuringian hone with one layer of tape on spine.
