Very nice restored CLAUSS SHEAR WORKS - BARBERS SPECIAL straight razor. Razor has been dis-assembled cleaned, polished, honed and waxed and is shave ready. Blade is nice, but does have some residual spots throughout. Moderate hone wear. Overall a very nice blade. See pics for details. Razor was finished on a vintage Thuringian hone with one layer of tape on spine.
Blade width at widest point measures at 6/8ths.
Razor length is 6 3/8ths inches.
Blade is approximately a 3/4 hollow.

Front side of shank is stamped - BARBERS SPECIAL. Back side is stamped - CLAUSS SHEAR WORKS - FREMONT OHIO.
Scales are BLACK vulcanized rubber. They are in good condition, with only a few nicks, spots and minimal warping. They have been dis-assembled cleaned, polished and wazed. Stacked nickel silver and brass pins. Pins are tight and blade closes fine.
