This lady has a tape measure in the head that is wound by turning her bun. The base is a thimble that screws off. The interior body has thread spools and can hold a tiny needle. There is no needle cover. It is marked Germany on the side of her head. A similar example is referenced in Pocket Sewing Kits by Woodyard. A desirable, fragile piece for a serious collector!
