Level N10KL . Working condition
Optical level N-10KL with compensator and horizontal limb refers to technical levels; is intended for leveling in the high-altitude justification of topographic surveys, in engineering and geodetic surveys and in construction. The level can be used to measure horizontal angles.
The level contains an optical-mechanical compensator in a converging beam. A rectangular prism suspended on a ball-bearing suspension serves as a sensitive element of the compensator. The vibrations of the compensator are damped by an air damper. The telescope in combination with the compensator gives a direct image of objects. The tube is focused by moving the movable compensator prism in the vertical direction.
The optical parts of the objective and compensator are enclosed in a thermally insulated rectangular case. A horizontal limb with a graduated scale of divisions every 1 ° is mounted in the lower part of the level. To adjust the angle i, use the quotation screws located in the eyepiece of the tube. The level has a frictional mechanism for horizontal aiming of the telescope by hand. The pipe lead screw is missing.
