This listing is for a vintage Navajo, LES BAKER SHOP, cuff bracelet handcrafted from Sterling Silver and Kingman Turquoise.
NOTE: Please view all 24 photosâŠlast 3 photos show cuff on a 6-1/8â wristâŠthis cuff is made for a smaller wristâŠplease measure your wrist (donât assume) and read measurements below!
This well kept Navajo cuff features a gorgeous design using high grade Kingman nuggets and tiny Kingman heishi shells. The 5 nuggets rest between two graduating shanks of heavy gauge sterling silver. They portray stunning color hues of deep blue to blue-green with heavy dark matrixes and specks of pyrite. Theyâre in excellent condition and rest securely in scalloped bezels while leaf appliquĂ©s follow on each side. Two rows of Kingman heishi shells line the two shanks while resting in shallow channels. Theyâre in amazing shape with minimal chipping and there are none missing!! The heishi shells are secured with jewelers glue but, I would be weary to wear this cuff when doing any kind of heavy activityâŠit would not be hard to knock the cuff against something and chip or break the shells. They are very small measuring about 1.5mm wide which also means theyâre very fragileâŠ.so, wear with care!!
The Artistâs signature is stamped along with a sterling mark on the inner shank. The silver has been tested and we guarantee its purity of .925 sterling silver.
This vintage cuff will make a great addition to any collection. Itâs comfortable (on the correct sized wrist!!) and stacks nicely with similar cuffs. Wear it with pride and enjoy!âŠ.you deserve it!!
***MEASUREMENTS AND DETAILS***
- Weight - 33 Grams
- Inside Measurement (End to End) - The cuff measures 5-1/2â around the inside from end to end.
- Gap - The gap measures just under 1â (15/16â). This cuff does NOT adjust, AT ALL!! Pay attention to the measurements and measure your wrist to avoid a return due to sizing.
- Total Size of Cuff Including Gap - The total size of cuff is just under 6-1/2â and should fit a wrist between 5-3/4â and 6-1/8â comfortably. The cuff is shown on my wrist in the photos and my wrist measures between 6-1/8â and 6-1/4â. It fits great but, because the gap is under an inch it was pretty hard to slip onâŠ.I wouldnât recommend this cuff for someone with a wrist larger than 6-3/8â even though it has a total size of 6-1/2â. It will be very difficult to get on and off. REMEMBER, It canât be adjusted or the heishi shells will break and pop off.
- Shank Measurements - At front center the cuff measures just a hair under 1â wide and slowly tapers down to each end measuring just under 1/2â wide.
- Stone Measurements - The centered stone measures 9/16â long by 7/16â wide and each side stone measures 7/16â long by 3/8â wide. The heishi shells are very small and measure approx. 1.5 millimeters wide.
- Signed By Artist - YES, several stampings are visible including a thunderbird picto hallmark for the Les Baker Shop, BAKER and JEWELRY stamped in a horizontal fashion, and initials LB stamped diagonally.
- Stamped Sterling - YES, (tested and verified .925 sterling silver guaranteed)
- Cir. - Later-Mid Century, 1960âs+
- Condition - Preowned, in very good vintage condition, with original stones, typical wear of light surface scratches on shank, and a slightly aged natural patina, ready to wear or display
