I found this very unique item at an estate sale of a motorcycle enthusiast. It's a vintage, wooden plaque that features a 1924 Harley-Davidson ad for the motorcycle company. The copy states: "Whee! Every Mile a Thrill! Speed - that leaves autos in the dust! Power - that simply snorts at hills! Pick up - that zips you out and away from traffic! That's motorcycling, on a Harley-Davidson! A sport for me who feel young - for men who to control the power of this pulsing, eager mount that out-climbs and outspends anything on wheels. Noted for economy, too - the Harley-Davidson. Fifty miles for a dollar - gas, oil, tires and all! And good looks, also - olive green, maroon striped. Make That Dream Come True!"

The seller said this was an antique. I did some research and was not able to determine if it was mass-produced or if it was a custom-made item. The ad and the wood plaque were sealed with lacquer or varnish. This would make a nice edition to a Harley owner's home or garage. It measures 16 inches by 11 1/8 inches by 3/4 inches and weighs 2 pounds, 8 ounces. There is some minor discoloration on the poster. (See photos)
