Up for auction is this vintage compressor unit for a CAVALIER 96 machine. I picked up the machine a few years back and rather than scrap it, I'm offering parts off of it. Below is a tag that was on the machine iteself. The tag is not include but is just for reference. There also are a couple photos of the tag on the comprssor unit denoting it is a CAV-873. That tag is includeed. You see the photos, the cord  needs replacing and the copper line was cut and there is no freon in the unit. You'll need to make any repairs to put it back into operation.

When I got the machine it had been sitting for the past 25 or so years. I plugged it in and it did fire up and did keep the machine cool. I only plugged it in for about an hour. My honest opinion is that this would be a good candidate for a rebuild. I know you can buy the cheap China made ones that aren't anywhere near the quality of the originals. I also know the good restorers will rebuild these units and would not dream of using a modern made China one. You'll get it as pictured which includes the unit as it sits.
