Beautiful brown and yellow ceramic bisque censer with an interesting squashed rhombus shape.

Using gilding and Moriage enamel, it shows a river scene with a man and a woman in the foreground and a building in the background. A shiisaa finial guards the lid.

Marked "Made in Japan" on the bottom.

Item is in good condition with a small area of paint loss on one side (see pictures). It would still function beautifully as an incense burner or just a decorative piece on your mantle.
