Offered for your consideration is a vintage CANTON part number 6181 6 inch (160mm) woofer removed from my CANTON Plus D speakers, manufactured in Germany c.1997. This mid/bass driver may have been used in other period CANTON speakers, but the buyer is responsible for verifying its suitability for any model other than the Plus D.
So, please take a look at my large photos, the measurements, and read the remaining description to decide if this capable CANTON mid/bass woofer should be yours.

This CANTON woofer is in clean, excellent condition. It features a sturdy poly-coated paper cone that’s structurally perfect and the voice coil dustcap is flawless as well. Plus, the surround is permanent rubber and the large magnet structure is free of oxidation. Also, the sturdy injection-molded basket has no cracks, chips, or scratches. And, I’ve left several inches of the +/- input wires soldered to the terminals for the next owner’s convenience when splicing-in to their speaker. Overall, this is a very well preserved woofer.
Most importantly, it sounded great in my testing—very strong and clear with fast, detailed mid-frequency coverage and stout bass for the platform size. Also, I tested the DC resistance at 3.4Ω, consistent with a 4 ohm nominal driver rating. Lastly, the basket measures 6” in diameter, it stands just below 2¾” tall, and the six mount holes are equally spaced 2⅞” apart, c-t-c.
