Offered for sale is a vintage Taylor aneroid barometer, probably ca. 1960s or 1970s. This barometer features a brass case with a ring for hanging it on the wall, a silvered dial with black markers, and a high precision compensated movement. The dial is graduated from 26 to 31 inches of mercury, and is marked, Compensated, Taylor, Rochester NY USA. The barometer is in very good condition overall. 5-1/4" round x 2-1/2"W. The case is in great condition, the brass has aged well. The dial is in excellent original condition. The barometer is in excellent working order. Taylor made this model barometer from the 1920s up into recent years. In the Taylor catalog of the mid-1990s, this barometer had a retail price of around $1000.00.
