Bahia Brazilian handmade doll. 19” tall sitting. Hands have individual fingers with small sharpened wood pieces for fingernails. Arms are sewn to be bent.Face characteristics are sewn (embroidered). This doll has a slip under her dress that is somewhat stiff- material and age. She has gauze underwear. Her feet have white cloth shoes. An antique doll expert felt this doll was made around 1900 and stated she is in very good condition for her age.
