For sale is a vintage Bishop John Neumann 3rd class touch relic medal.
This item measures approx. 1/2" wide and is small in size.
There is an acrylic disc covering & protecting the cloth relic, but this disc
has some surface wear and appears to have been knocked around
a bit, although it is still intact.
This item is vintage and has a lot of age, surface wear, imperfections,
and loss of silver-tone coating.
See photos for details.

***PLEASE NOTE***
3rd class relics are much different from 1st and 2nd class relics. First and 2nd class relics
are rare, are considered sacred, and are usually found in churches.
First class relics are actually from the body of the saint like a strand of hair.
Second class relics are something the saint owned like a Bible or a piece of clothing.
3rd class are just "touch" relics. They are pieces of cloth that have been touched to a
1st or 2nd class relic and then cut up into tiny pieces and put into medals, cards, holders, etc...
It may have been a piece of cloth that was touched to the saint, touched their tomb, or
touched to anything they owned or wore. These relics are not rare.
I only sell 3rd class relics which I have bought over the years at various sales, and for the
most part, I have no history of the items as to who owned them or where they originated.
