Item up for sale is a spectacular vintage fingerprint magnifier lens by Bausch & Lomb that was found with it's original box and an extra lens. The magnifier bears the Bausch & Lomb mark under the eye frame. Lens was found in a Bausch & Lomb marked box with a model number of 31-61-88 printed on the packaging.
Box shows surface, corner and edge wear with surface discoloration and soiling throughout. Box bottom shows some light seam splitting. Two original lens envelopes were found in the box with the Henry System lens installed and the Battley System lens wrapped in it's original paper inside of it's original envelope. The envelopes shows some wear and discoloration consistent with age and use. Magnifier itself shows some soiling and light paint wear to the metal framing and could use a detail cleaning. Lens shows some soiling and could use a cleaning with glass showing no chips, cracks or breaks.
Magnifier measures 3-1/8" top to bottom by 2-1/4" across the widest point. Box measures 3-3/8" top to bottom by 3" wide by 3-1/8" front to back. Amazing piece that comes fresh to the market from a recent estate buyout. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
