Vintage Antique L.L. Bean Boots Old Issue Labels Marked Made in USA 22
Not sure of the exact age of these Beab Boots but I could not find anything matching these exact labels and style of the Boots. I am thinking that they go back and are important to the history of the company. Bottom of Boots Read Made in USA 22. May be Men’s or Women’s. Measure 10” from Toe to Heel and 10” High.
Bean boots (originally named Maine Hunting Shoes) are a type of water-resistant "duck boots" manufactured by L.L.Bean. They are constructed from a rubber sole and a leather upper. The boots were created in 1911 and were an instant success. The boots became an item of clothing connected to elite prep schools.
