Straight out of the collection of a fanatical train collector comes this vintage brass railroad pad lock produced by the Ames Sword Company out of Chicopee Massachusetts. These types of locks are often found to be manufactured out of a brass casing and utilized as locks for the railroad system. This particular lock is marked by the GENERAL RAILWAY SIGNAL Co. ROCHESTER NY. Lock shows normal age and wear and has that “been there” look to it that I love on these old pieces. There is a wonderful patina throughout and this lock will display nicely in any collection. Unfortunately, I do not have the key for the lock.
