Excellent 3/4 size Chelsea "Willard" style banjo clock with original patriotic battle scene of the Constitution & Guerriere on the lower glass and Eagle with shield on the throat glass. The clock is 32 inches including finial and 29 without finial. Nice Mahogany case with good original finish. The silvered dial is signed "Shreve, Crump & Low, Boston" the retailer and also Chelsea above the winding hole. Nice original silvered dial and original hands. There is a label inside the base with a clock repairman had worked on this in 1988, Port Charlotte, Florida. The clock recently purchased from an estate of a clock collector and it is an excellent runner and keeping excellent time since it has been in my possession. These 3/4 size banjo clocks were made by Chelsea from 1925-1929. This serial number 167,977 dates this production between Dec 1925 - January 1926. This is an excellent Chelsea 3/4 size banjo clock with an attractive price.
