This is a VIETNAM ERA U.S.M.C. UNITED STATES MARINE CORP. DRESS TIE TAC (EGA). The tie tac was fastened to the middle of the necktie and attached to a button hole on the shirt by a chain and bar to hold the necktie in place. The tie tac is made of metal (Possibly brass ?) On the front there is the Marine Corp EGA emblem. On the back of the tie tac there is a post for attaching the jewelers clutch for attaching it to the necktie. Also there is a chain with a bar at the end of the chain which is also attached to the tie tac for attaching it to the button hole on a shirt. The Marine Corp Tie Tack Emblem measures approx. 5/8 inches Wide x 5/8 inches High. The Vietnam Era U.S.M.C. United States Marine Corp Dress Tie Tac (EGA) is in new condition.
