VERY COOL  Mechanical “Shoot the Moon” STRATO Bank Circa 1950's ROCKET SHIP Detroit

Up for auction today is a bank as pictured and described above and below. The bank is marked as shown.

AI = The Strato Bank is a vintage, space-themed mechanical coin bank designed and manufactured by Duro Mold and Manufacturing Inc. around 1953. It features a mechanism that allows the user to shoot coins from a rocket into a slot on the moon. These banks were often distributed as premiums by local banks

Inside rim is marked US PAT D-171-243 (utility?) DURO MOLD MAFG INC DETROIT MICH USA.

This is the chrome version that is rarer than the green one.

The bank is in very good condition with NO KEY. Keys available in ebay.
