This mobile cart was originally used with a large spherical vacuum chamber, with a 6 inch CF flange mounting bracket bolted to the top. The design of the table allows for a vacuum chamber to fixed on top, with turbo pumps, roughing pumps, instruments, etc. mounted on the lower level.
