This is an exceptional and rare original B-36 Peacekeeper Load Adjuster, complete with its original leather case. Designed specifically for the Convair B-36, this mechanical calculator was a vital flight tool, used to determine the aircraft's center of gravity based on varying load configurations of fuel, crew, and ordnance.

The B-36, introduced in 1948 and retired by 1959, remains one of the most iconic strategic bombers ever built. With a total production of just 384 aircraft, it was the first intercontinental bomber capable of reaching targets in Europe and returning to U.S. bases without refueling. Powered by six massive Pratt & Whitney R-4360 radial engines (and later four jet engines in the B-36J model), it carried a crew of 15 and could haul ten times the payload of the WWII-era B-17 Flying Fortress.

This load adjuster is in very good used condition, complete with its original sliding cursor and leather carry case. Tools like this were flight-critical, used by ground and air crews to ensure safe and balanced operation of the aircraft. With only five B-36 aircraft preserved today, original tools and components are exceedingly difficult to find—especially this load adjuster, considered the rarest of its kind.

A true Cold War relic and a must-have piece for serious aviation collectors or museum-quality displays. All items sold are 100% guaranteed.
