Jaw can even strip insulation from wire
The Uninsulated Wide Jaw Alligator Clips
are about 2 inches long and their Jaws can
Open About 1/2 inch wide for easily
grabbing 9V Battery Posts, Bolt and Screw
Heads, and many other ground connections
found under the hood of your car that most
other clips of this size will just fall off.
The very unique jaw design also makes
these a very handy too for stripping
the insulation off wires. I use them all
the time for stripping insulation off of
hook-up wire and sometimes even lamp cord
wire up to about 16 gauge.
To Strip Wire, Just insert the wire you want
to strip into the Jaws of the Clip. Place the
jaws between your thumb and index finger
and apply additional force as needed, then
just pull the insulation off the wire.
In many cases, it does a better job of
stripping wire than my wire strippers as
it doesn't nick or cut the wire like my
wire strippers sometime do. They may not
strip teflon insulated wire, but for
stripping softer wire insulation, they
work very well.
