One of a kind folk art handcrafted unique birdhouse RW&B copper roof pennies
This is a truly unique and one of a kind birdhouse. It is constructed of sturdy wood and is painted in a patriotic red white and blue color scheme. The roof is made out of copper pennies. There is also copper flashing and other use of copper throughout the piece including the entrance hole to the birdhouse which is 1.25 inches in diameter. Total length from the base to the top of the finial is 24 inches. It has its own mounting plate on the bottom to put on a pole Which is about 3 1/2 inches in diameter. There seems to be provision for cleaning it out in the back but I did not take the time to open it up. This was obviously a labor of love for some individual and it is one of those pieces that you will not ever find again. The Craftsmanship is simply outstanding.
