A: Yes, It will work well
Q: Can it be installed on a pickup on the right (passenger) side?
A: yes this can be installed on either side of your truck.
Q: Would you have to remove the ladder to put a 4 wheeler in the back of the truck?
A: No you don’t. The ladder is flat against the tailgate. You can pull right over it. I also slide a Jon boat across the ladder with no problem. The velcro straps hold the ladder firmly in place
Q: Do you have to drill holes in your tailgate to attach this ladder?
A: YES, you have to drill several holes, six holdes at least for the plate mount
