| Symptoms of a damaged throttle body： |
1.Rough Idling If you notice your car’s engine stays between 500 to 100 RPM and the engine vibrates frequently, it may be due to a dirty throttle body. To fix the situation, you can get your car’s throttle body serviced and the engine vibration will go away. 2.Check Engine Light As soon as the car’s onboard computer detects a problem with the throttle body, it will cause the check engine light to illuminate. 3.Poor Engine Performance The engine requires both adequate air and fuel supply to perform effectively. | Installation procedure of throttle body： |
1.Remove the air cleaner assembly. 2.Remove the accelerator cable. First, rotate the throttle control mechanism to the maximum position, pull it with the left hand and pinch the accelerator cable with the right hand, and remove it from the notch of the control mechanism.Then take off the line from the accelerator cable support, take the lower limit clip and gasket, and put them in a safe place. Finally, remove the accelerator cable bracket fixed on the throttle body (electronic throttle saves road, this procedure). 3.Loosen the 3 fastening bolts on the throttle body with an Allen key and remove the throttle body. 4.Remove the sealing rubber ring at the joint between the throttle body and the air filter to prevent the cleaning agent from corroding the rubber ring and causing the rubber ring to swell and break. After removing the sealing rubber ring, check whether there are signs of aging and cracks. 5.Clean the throttle body. |
| Precautions for throttle body cleaning： |
During cleaning, focus on cleaning the throttle body cavity, throttle and throttle shaft until there is no dirt. After cleaning, repeatedly pull the throttle control mechanism to check whether the throttle switch is free. In addition, clean the joint surface between the air inlet and the throttle body. Remove the sealing rubber ring before cleaning to prevent corrosion. When cleaning the throttle valve, the integrated circuit cover must face up to avoid damaging its components. |
