Offered is a used Thermador Range Gas Solenoid Valve.
This part is a secondary valve controlled by the simmer controller. When the solenoid goes bad on these (no longer opens the valve) it time to replace it (after eliminating the control board or the potentiometers as the problem). Many time you will hear a loud buzzing sound when the solenoid goes bad (but not always).
PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU HAVE STAR SHAPED BURNERS THIS IS NOT THE CORRECT SOLENOID VALVE. THE ORIFICE FOR THE GAS LINE FOR THE STAR BURNERS IS LARGER AND IS PART NUMBER 00415134 NOT 00411253 AS LISTED HERE.
SOME OF THE SUPPLIER PARTS DIAGRAMS FOR THERMADOR PRO RANGES WITH STAR BURNERS LIST THIS PART AS A REPLACEMENTMENT AND IT IS NOT, THIS IS AN ERROR THAT HAS PROPAGATED FOR SOME TIME...AS MENTIONED ABOVE YOU'D NEED PART NUMBER 00415134 (WITH THE 3/8" ORIFICE NOT PART NUMBER 00411253 (THAT HAS THE 1/4" ORIFICE).
