This is a third state cover, meaning the trunk cover that once covered this LP has been removed. It is such a good job that the trunk cover has been removed in one piece!!! Proper inner sleeve and vg++ record included. This set is authenicated by Perry d Cox of Scottsdale AZ. Google him if you're not familiar with him. He's a Beatles and Beach Boys expert. A copy of the recall letter to merchants is included too.

Perry's letter states: This letter serves to authenicate one original June, 1966 first issue Stereo copy of the Beatles LP Yesterday And Today (Capitol ST-2553). This is the peeled version of the LP known as the third state version.
The term "Third State" refers to the fact that the front replacement trunk cover has been carefully and successfully removed to reveal the butcher cover underneath. This particular copy was made at the Scranton PA factory.

Overall condition of the cover is vg. It does have some aging and seam breaks. The front cover slick itself is Near Mint. This is a Real Bargain. Have you ever seen a Trunk Cover removed in ONE PIECE???
