An original 1967 souvenir postcard featuring a colour image of the Apple boutique on Baker Street, London containing the mural painted by the Dutch design collective ‘The Fool’. Simon Posthuma and Marijke Koger of The Fool also produced art and clothing. Their best known work consisted of items created for the Beatles including the psychedelic clothes worn in the 1967 broadcast for ‘All You Need Is Love’, decorations to both George Harrison and John Lennon’s instruments and of course the giant mural on the sides of the Apple boutique building. The card measures 8.8cm x 13.8cm (3.5 inches x 5.5 inches). There is a little wear to each corner and dirt staining to the front and the reverse. The condition is very good minus. |
