Ten 1870-1920 Vintage Household, Utility, Food Bottles
Here is an eclectic group of 100+ year old vintage food, condiment and household utility bottles, ranging in age from about 1870 to 1920. Most of are hand blown, but a few are machine-made from the early 1900's. Most are dug bottles that have only been rinsed out and should clean up better. But expect them to arrive with varying amounts of stain and spotty wear. They range in height from about 5 to 8" tall.
Rather than describing each bottle, please look at the pictures and feel free to message me with any questions. You get everything in the pics. Here are a few notes on the embossed or interesting bottles. Unless noted below, all bottles are undamaged (no chips, cracks or bruises), but as mentioned above expect them to have stain etc.
The lot includes:
five clear to light aqua round squatty bottles, hand-blown. These were most likely bluing detergents. One is embossed: DAVIS OK / BAKING POWDER and another says: SEA GULL / BAKING POWDER. The clear one has a star embossed on the bottom, and an aqua one has a asterisk on the bottom (that one has a lip bruise). The fifth is unembossed, aqua, and has some lip chips.
there is a tall clear olive bottle (with the cork), a slender tall sauce, and a chunky icy blue-aqua citrate of magnesia style bottle (late 1860's to 1875). All of those are undamaged.
the two newer jar style bottles are condiment or food bottles. The caps are rusty, but one has partially legible branding: ROOT KNIGHT / FOOD / PRODUCTS / NEW YORK. No damage.
TERMS:
- Satisfaction guaranteed - full return policy within 30 days.
- Combined Shipping Discounts. I LOVE packing multiple lots together to save you shipping. My goal is to cover exact shipping costs (not profit off shipping like some dealers). The exact savings depends on the size/weight of the items and zip code, but generally you can expect 50% off the stated shipping on the 2nd item (ranked by cost not time), 60-75% off on lots 3 and up. If it's a little bottle like an inkwell, often there is no additional charge.
- If you win multiple lots on the same day, please wait for my adjusted invoice before paying (usually within 12 hours). If you win and intend to bid on lots ending later (within the next 7-day period), please do nothing or message me "Still Bidding", and when you're done send a message: "I'm Done - Please send Invoice." Shipping is within 24 hours of getting payment.
- Auctions, Not Make Offers. Please do not ask me to end live auctions early - eBay flags auctions that are ended early as being "faulty sales", which leads to status downgrades and higher fees. This can also annoy my regular customers. Sometimes I may list items as Buy-It-Now with option to make offers, but auctions are auctions. Thanks for understanding.
