The Tarrago Self Shine Color Dye works to restore color, repair scuffs and scratches and worn shoe toes, and can even change color from black to white. The color dye is suitable for leather, canvas and synthetic leather. It is not suitable for suede, nubuck or similar materials. Each box contains a 25 ml bottle of dye, a 25 ml bottle of preparing solution, an applicator sponge and paintbrush.  
First clean the shoe with the liquid leather preparer solution and then apply the water based dye on your damaged shoe. It is fast drying.  Goes on like paint, but the final result after applying will appear as a dye and not as paint.  This product is available in many colors. It is a water based formula that does not harm your health or the environment.
