Purchased as a sniper rifle stock, I believe it to be one. There is no way to tell for sure. It has the stock inletted for the short side rail mount as used on the M41B. Many of these rifles were put into civilian use after the war, and the SSRM was a popular way to mount a scope as it did not deface the Kings Crest on the reciever. This could be one of those stocks as well. It's a beautiful piece of wood either way and perfect for you to make your own M41B!
